The 12th Annual Jewish Heritage Day will take place at Marlins Park in Miami on Sunday afternoon, September 6, 2015. This day will bring the Jewish community together in support of the Miami Marlins and Jewish education.
Prior to the game, Congressman Ted Deutch (FL 21) will throw out the Ceremonial First Pitch. The Pre-game Ceremony will also include a tribute to the 1972 Munich Olympics Massacre, featuring 1972 Olympic swimmer, Robert Strauss, the only Jewish athlete on the Mexican delegation. Mr. Strauss will be carrying the American flag during the singing of the Israel and American national anthems. We will also honor Jewish War Veteran, Ike Taffel, with carrying the Israel flag.
Enjoy the game, nosh on delicious kosher food, listen to great Jewish music, show your support for the home team, and, at the same time show your support for Jewish education in South Florida.
The Jewish Heritage Day Foundation, Inc. teamed with the Miami Marlins to create "Jewish Heritage Day." in order to raise awareness of, and much needed funding for, Jewish education in South Florida.
